Whether you’re at work, or at home (or work from home), getting the right pair of headphones can help keep you going. The SteelSeries Arctis 3 Bluetooth is a budget-friendly pair that is perfect for both work and play.
- Simultaneous analog and Bluetooth Connectivity
- Noise-cancelling retractable microphone
- 28hr battery life
This Bluetooth edition is an upgrade over the wired Arctis 3. You can connect to your device via Bluetooth or the provided cable, or use both to listen to music while gaming at the same time. There’s also a great-sounding retractable microphone.
With built-in Bluetooth, you don’t need a USB dongle unlike other wireless headsets. That said, Bluetooth does have a slight lag, so these aren’t made for twitch gaming (unless you go wired). Movies and slower games are fine. Blending the audio sources can be fun, and these headphones sound pretty good. There’s a good sense of speed and clarity in the mids and highs. However, the low-end can get a little muddy in bass-heavy music.
The Arctis 3 Bluetooth is perfect if you’re gaming on the Nintendo Switch. You can mix the wired audio from the Switch with the wireless chat audio from the Switch mobile app, which is very convenient. The microphone is clear, and is you don’t have to worry about your friends or colleagues not hearing you. Lastly, the battery life is solid with over 28 hours of use.
We’ve reviewed the SteelSeries Arctis 1 here, there’s enough difference between them for you to consider either one. The Arctis 3 is built better, and is more comfortable for marathon gaming sessions or meetings. At S$219, the SteelSeries Arctis 3 Bluetooth doesn’t come with some of the perks of the higher-range headphones, such as Bluetooth 5.0, multi-device connectivity, and active noise cancelling. But it has a superb microphone, strong audio, and a wallet-friendly price range.
